A Little Bit About Child's Play

I thought I'd take this week off from Lost as an opportunity to talk a little bit about my charity of choice: Child's Play.

Child's Play was founded in 2003 by Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik as a way for the gaming community to show that gamers are people with a propensity to do real good. As I previously mentioned, Child's Play's main objective is to deliver games and toys to children's hospitals worldwide. This is made possibly primarily through internet donations like the one I hope you will make. In 2009, a total of $1,780,870 was contributed to the Child's Play cause, helping almost 70 hospitals from US to Australia to Egypt.

Every penny that you donate using the ChipIn widget is put directly into the PayPal account of this wonderful organization, so please give what you can. More information about Child's Play, including an FAQ and tax information, can be found here.

Only 3 weeks away now. Can't wait.
